Meet Our Team
Sara Diederich and Melissa Kohout met back in 2014 while working at a Los Angeles arts organization. They shared a love of all things handmade; shopping, eating, and buying. In 2015 the duo decided to create their own company called Jackalope Arts, whose mission is to create a unique curated shopping experience featuring the top trendsetting makers & designer of local goods. This merged their love to support the handmade community and their events background. These pop up events are hosted throughout the year in both California and Colorado- their home states.
In the beginning of 2020, in what would have been their sixth fair season, Covid-19 happened and quickly shut down businesses and issued stay at home orders across the world. Since in-person events could not happen, Sara & Melissa began to think what else could be done to help the local community and small businesses everywhere. Local Undercover was born.
