Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do:
We create stickers that are designed to be kick-ass tattoos for people's stuff. Our designs express people's individuality. Common places people use them are water bottles, lap tops, sporting gear, car windows, etc.
Let us know more about your business name - how did you come up with it?
Minnesota Nice defines the friendly nature of most Minnesotan's. That said, many Minnesotan's are known for their passive aggressive sides, as well. We combined these two qualities into a brand that reflects our nice yet irreverent qualities.
What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?
In one word, the style of our work is "unsanitized." We love work that shows it is hand made with care. We highlight perfect imperfections in out art while creating the absolute highest quality stickers this side of the milky-way.
What makes your business unique to the industry?
We have a number of strong pillars our business was created on such as American made, inclusion, sustainable processes, and always evolving to do better. Perhaps our center stone is creating success for independent retailers. We believe in small business. Our goal is to create products that a person cannot find online or in big box stores and offer small businesses a competitive advantage. Our success comes from creating success for them and their customers. This philosophy doesn't work the other way around.
What's been your biggest roadblock when it comes to business and how have you been able to overcome?
Growing intentionally has had its challenges. As more individuals look for our creations, we can't always say yes to every project. Keeping humble and focused on our amazing Nice Enough family (aka customers to some businesses) leads those decisions.
How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?
COVID really challenged many of our retail partners that we count on to be successful. We realized how important helping them adapt to new ways to better serve their customers. To do this, we created a community where ideas could be freely shared to achieve success for all.
What is your favorite part of what you do?
Our greatest joy is seeing our creations out in the wild.
What is your *must do* local activity?
The best place for people to shop in the state of MN is Nisswa. It is a town of 50+ amazing small, independent specialty stores. When in town, you can check out Zaiser's who sells our creations. I would grab a bite at Rafferty's Pizza or Main Street Ale House while in town. I would plan a few extra days to explore the outdoors while biking, hiking and boating.
