Nicole: Mountain Essentials
Handcrafted, award winning soaps and lotions made with best quality oils and milk from my herd of goats.
Let us know more about your business name - how did you come up with it?
It’s Essential in the Mountains to have the best skin care...the initials are ME. This is ME!
What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?
The lavender mint soap won best in show at a goat milk skin care competition. There were over 500 entries. This soap makes me proud and my customers love it as much as I do.
What makes your business unique to the industry?
I raise the goats that produce the milk I use in my products. Start to finish this is ME.
What's been your biggest roadblock when it comes to business and how have you been able to overcome?
Social media. I’m not as out going and confident as I may pretend to be. I have a hard time putting it out there on social media. With the help and encouragement from friends and fellow makers I am getting better at showing the world who I am.
How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?
With Covid-19 I have really had to dive headfirst into the social media. We are offering curbside pick ups and discounts on online orders for free shipping.
What is your favorite part of what you do?
I love sharing natural skin care with people. I love when they tell me how much it is helping them.
What is your *must do* local activity?
Visit all the shops. Go to old South Park city. This is a beautiful old mining town. Enjoy the views!
