Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do:
I create modern clay jewelry and accessories for the home.
What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?
Simplicity and different materials are my style. My background in architecture has always inspired me with the use of different textures.
What makes your business unique to the industry?
I was one of the first modern clay artists in the industry. My unique modern aesthetic has stood out with my customers.
What's been your biggest roadblock when it comes to business and how have you been able to overcome?
Trying not to fall in the trendy trap and keeping my styles unique especially now that there are many clay artists in the business.
How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?
It has forced me to think in creating a more robust presence online. I also try to be very eco conscious with my business, all my packaging is recyclable and this has made me even more concerned about the environment.
What is your favorite part of what you do?
Creating designs, sketching ideas and then making a prototype.
What is your *must do* local activity?
I love live music, having lived in NYC, music is my go to for a good time. My husband and I always find a local musician or band in town to enjoy ourselves on a date night.
