Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do:
Trudy: Trudy Perry
My name is Trudy and I am a fiber artist. I create one-of-a-kind woven wall art. These pieces are created on and off the loom. My process is intuitive. Sometimes I sketch but mostly I create by feeling. I am inspired by nature and infuse this into my work.
What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?
My style is modern boho. My pieces are clean modern design with lots of texture. I usually work with neutrals however clients chose their colors with custom pieces.
What makes your business unique to the industry?
I would say it’s my unique point of view and that every piece is different.
What's been your biggest roadblock when it comes to business and how have you been able to overcome?
Finding my voice amongst so many great fiber artists has been challenging however I have been able to hon my skills and find my unique perspective.
How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?
I definitely have had to pivot. I mostly did everything in person and some online and now everything is online.
What is your favorite part of what you do?
Working with my hands for sure. It is so grounding and brings me a lot of joy.
