Tell us a little bit about who you are and what you do:

My name is Michelle and I make hand stamped gifts and accessories. I am known for my snarky sayings and like to push the envelope while thinking outside the box. I’m a work from home mama to two amazing kiddos and love being able to use my creative side while contributing to the family income.

Let us know more about your business name - how did you come up with it?

My good friend and I came up with the name years ago and used to upcycle furniture and vintage pieces. Since we have both grown and moved in different directions, I loved the name so much, we decided I could keep it alive. I love the contrast between something so strong like Twig and something so delicate like Lace.

What is your signature style / item? How did it become so?

Our signature style is snarky and funny and I would say our signature item is our coffee and cocktail stainless steel stirrers.

What makes your business unique to the industry?

I think that there are lots of hand stampers that create jewelry and sweet memorable products. I am unique in that I tend to ride the line of inappropriate and have lots of different items I stamp besides jewelry.

What's been your biggest roadblock when it comes to business and how have you been able to overcome?

My biggest roadblock has been keeping them”business” side on track. I love creating and making but have a hard time getting excited about the behind the scene tasks.

How has your business had to adapt amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic? What are you doing to navigate the situation?

We have had to pivot quite a bit during Covid. We were scheduled to do lots of local in person markets/events and they were all postponed. We had to quickly shift to online sales and retail sales. Retail is making a comeback but online is where it’s at right now. People really want to shop from the comfort of their homes.

What is your favorite part of what you do?

Being able to create new items and make people laugh is my favorite part of my job. Stamping something that is relatable to someone and having them reach out to tell me is the absolute best.

**What is your must do local activity?**

Before Covid, I loved going to local markets/farmers markets with my family. We also enjoy doing full nights hitting up lots of fun restaurants and bars.
